Every David Yurman collection has a story to tell. Petals speaks of the joyful time when David and his wife, Sybil, lived in New York’s Putnam Valley. These sculptural, organic forms evoke flowers bathed in golden sunlight and silvery moonbeams.

Every David Yurman collection has a story to tell.
Petals speaks of the joyful time when David and his

Day Petals

Unique to the Petals Collection is the water lily. This cuplike flower, a member of
the Nymphaeaceae family, loves to float on the water. David and Sybil Yurman
once lived  near a pond where frogs and lily pads lived in happy harmony. These

To create the jewelry’s sensual sparkle, David Yurman artisans must adapt
the setting pattern for each petal since the diamonds are not cut in uniform
sizes. The brilliant- and rose-cut stones are pavé set by hand, glistening
dramatically like morning dew.

In keeping with the romantic spirit of the collection, David wanted the petals to
“kiss” each other. Invisible hinges were custom developed and produced to
achieve these subtle connections. An openwork design on the back of select
pieces allows light to shine through hand-set diamonds, making the stones
all the more radiant.

Inspired by the darkness of night, blackened gold gives the precious metal a dramatic hue while hand-set diamonds sparkle like the constellations above.
